Last week, we sure had a lot of fun celebrating Andrea W.’s birthday! We had great music from DJs Gabe and Andrea W., some cool visitors from out of town, and cheesecake! What more could you ask for?!? We are planning to continue offering awesome classes, great parties, live bands, and plenty of snacks! 1. THIS WEEK: January 28th – Dancing + Classes + FUN!

We have some great classes to kick off the New Year! Drop ins are welcome to join the Level 1 class.
Level 1: Jazz’n Your Lindy with Gilles & Audrey
8:00 – 9:00pm
Gilles & Audrey will present some great moves that will add some new spice to your dance recipe. If you’re ready to look cool on the dance floor, this class is for you!

Level 2: “Last Chance” with Trevor & Megan Performance Class
7:00 - 8:00pm
This week we will be reviewing all of the material taught in the past three weeks. We will be putting it all together for the upcoming performance. Get ready to sweat!

3. Frankie Manning Workshop Weekend – February 13-15, 2009
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Frankie's back for another exciting weekend of stories, lessons, and dancing! And new this year: THREE NIGHTS OF LIVE MUSIC!
Frankie was one of the star dancers at the Savoy Ballroom in Harlem in the 1930's and 40's and is credited with creating the first air-step (aerial). He was part of the exciting performance troupe, Whitey's Lindy Hoppers from 1936 to 1941. Today, still dancing at 94, Frankie is the unofficial Ambassador of Lindy Hop to the world, spreading its popularity to the far corners of our planet while traveling and teaching the dance that he helped to pioneer.
Trevor and Megan will be teaching two classes on Sunday: Swing Rueda and Extreme Charleston: Taking your Charleston to new levels. These will be Megan's final classes before she takes a break to have baby #2!

4. Feb 25 – LIVE BAND MARDI GRAS PARTY!
Featuring “Clint Baker & The Cafe Borrone All-Stars”

Celebrate Mardi Gras with Wednesday Night Hop at our Masquerade Party! We'll be dancing to LIVE MUSIC from 9pm-Midnight on February 25th with New Orleans style jazz ensemble, Clint Baker and the Cafe Borrone All-Stars!
We'll be celebrating Mardi Gras with beads (please keep your shirts on) fun foods and prizes for best masks.
