The Pajammy Jam is next week! You know the rules -- wear pajamas (family-friendly, please), bring blankets and plush toys, relax in the snuggle corner, participate in silly contests, and have lots and lots of fun!

1. THIS WEEK: March Series Continue! Dual DJs -- Lori & Chayant!

We are excited to welcome two new DJs to the WNH's DJing list -- Lori and Chayant! If you heard Lori DJ at FDO, you know that her DJing is as fun as her MCing; and Chayant is an avid Balboa dancer, so you might want to bring your Bal shoes and polish your shuffles! (Of course, any Balboa-friendly music is by definition a Lindy Hop-friendly music, and if any of the tempos seem too high, feel free to half-time it!)

2. March Classes: Amanda & Kevin! Margot & Richard! Katie & Paul!

We are excited to welcome Katie O'Neill to our teaching crew! After living and studying in Santa Cruz, she moved to San Luis Obispo where she became an energetic organizer and instructor in the local Lindy community, although she was driving up for dancing to the Bay Area very frequently. She has finally decided to take the leap and join us in the South Bay, and we are more than delighted. Her bio will come up shortly on our website. In the meantime, join the Level 2 series class to make an acquaintance with this talented dancer!

*** LEVEL 2: Swingout -- Focus on the Send Out w/ Katie & Paul ***
Do you and your social dancing partners a favor by taking care of them during one of the most important moves in lindy hop, the Swing Out! Learn useful new ways to think about the dance, and expand your knowledge base and options for how to execute great and comfortable swingouts for both your leaders and your followers! This class focuses mostly on counts 4,5&6 of the swingout, and also deals with what the follow can do creatively when that happens!

# PRE-REQUISITES: Execute a swingout, lindy circle, charleston and 6-count moves and transition between them in open and closed positions. No partner required; just bring your enthusiasm and comfortable clothes!

*** LEVEL 3: Flow and Momentum w/ Amanda & Kevin ****
When everything feels right, leaders and followers feel comfortable playing off each other by directing and redirecting energy and momentum. Kevin and Amanda will help you explore this flow and share a few ways to incorporate it into your dancing in fun and exciting ways.

# PRE-REQUISITES: At least nine consecutive months of Level 1 and Level 2 including one full year of social dance, or discuss your eligibility with instructors. Under-qualified students will be asked to transfer to Level 2 in order to strengthen their fundamentals.

8:15-9:15pm
*** LEVEL 1: Charleston w/ Margot & Richard ***
Come out and kick your way around some basic Charleston! You will learn basic body movement, drill technique on Charleston kicks, and explore 20s and 30s style Charleston as you get ready to kick it on the social dance floor.

# PRE-REQUISITES: None. No partner required; just bring your enthusiasm and comfortable clothes!

*** ELECTIVE: Tranky Doo w/ Amanda & Kevin ***
"The dipsy doodle is the thing to beware

If you've ever heard this song and wished you could join the rush to do this wacky dance, now is the time! Join us as we break the Tranky Doo down, learn the technique behind the moves, and perform it every time the DJ plays it during the dance!

# PRE-REQUISITES: Having completed 3 months of Level 1. No partner required; just bring your enthusiasm and comfortable clothes!

9:30-12:00am - Dance Party

WNH welcomes individuals of 24 years or younger! Show proof of age 24 or younger at the front desk for 50% off the regular price of series classes. Dances are also discounted to a admission cost. Drop-in classes are not discounted.

Wednesday Night Hop offers value pre-paid punch cards for entrance to the dance only. Each card gets you 10 admissions to the dance party be it a band night or a special party or performance. No more messing around with cash at the door. Just present your card and sign in!
