1. THIS WEEK: July Series Continue! Summer Swing! DJ Eliott!

PLEASE NOTE that we're discontinuing our 3-week series registration. If you missed the registration last week, you can always drop in!

Our Summer Swing program has kicked off for Level 1, but it's not too late to join! Three months of Level 1 classes for the price of two -- a great way to introduce a friend to the joys of Lindy Hop, or to learn the opposite role!

2. July Series: Lori & Eliott! Gilles, Kylie, Kevin!

7:15-8:15pm
*** LEVEL 2: Classic Moves w/ Lori & Eliott ***
Points, Jig Walks, and Mini-Dips? Swing is one of the most playful dances, and we'll explore some of the most entertaining classic swing figures. You'll have a chance to add in your own style and creativity to make these figures your own, so that they evolve with your dancing!

# PRE-REQUISITES: Execute a swingout, lindy circle, charleston and 6-count moves and transition between them in open and closed positions. No partner required; just bring your enthusiasm and comfortable clothes!

*** LEVEL 3: Pulse and Rhythm w/ Gilles & Kevin ****
Join Gilles & Kevin to explore the simplicity and intricasies of pulse and rhythm. We will begin with the fundamentals, and then start digging deeper into what pulse and rhythm are for, and how you can use them in your dance to improve your partner connection and unleash boundless playfulness.

# PRE-REQUISITES: At least nine consecutive months of Level 1 and Level 2 including one full year of social dance, or discuss your eligibility with instructors. Under-qualified students will be asked to transfer to Level 2 in order to strengthen their fundamentals.

*** LEVEL 1: 6-Count Lindy Hop w/ Lori & Eliott ***
Start dancing from day one! We will get you moving in this month-long series that will make you an expert on basic footwork, turns, wraps, breaks and jazzy stylin'. Includes 6 and 8-count moves, an introduction to the swing-out foundation, and more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

# PRE-REQUISITES: None. No partner required; just bring your enthusiasm and comfortable clothes!

*** ELECTIVE: The Big Apple w/ Kylie & Gilles ***
Come learn the Big Apple dance as performed by the original Whitey's Lindy Hoppers. Filled with vintage vernacular Jazz movements that will inspire and improve your dance quality. Join Gilles & Kylie as they break down the movements into simple and easy to understand concepts that will get you dancing! The more people who know it, the better!

# PRE-REQUISITES: At least 3 months of Level 1 and some solo jazz experience, this routine is challenging. No partner required, just bring your enthusiasm and comfortable clothes!

7:15-8:15pm - Level 3 Lindy
8:15-9:15pm - Level 1 Lindy
8:15-9:15pm - Elective
9:30-12:00am - Dance Party

4. Just For You: DISCOUNTS! Punch Cards!

*** DISCOUNTS ***
WNH welcomes individuals of 24 years or younger! Show proof of age 24 or younger at the front desk for 50% off the regular price of series classes. If you are over 24 years old, but still carry enough credits to qualify as a full-time student, you are still eligible for the discount. Bring in your full-time class schedule for that semester or quarter to get the discount. Dances are also discounted to a admission cost. Drop-in classes are not discounted.

*** PUNCH CARDS ***
Wednesday Night Hop offers value pre-paid punch cards for entrance to the dance only. Each card gets you 10 admissions to the dance party be it a band night or a special party or performance. No more messing around with cash at the door. Just present your card and sign in!
