CHANGE IN CLASS SCHEDULE!!!
Starting next month, we'll be switching the time slots for our Elective and Level 3 classes. In October, the Level 3 class will be taught at 7:15pm, while the Elective class will be taught at 8:15. The Level 1 and Level 2 classes won't be affected. Mark your calendars, make sure you come at the right time!

THE 30-SECOND* SHOWCASE, this year with in collaboration with The 9:20 Special, will happen on October 9th! Anyone can participate! All you need to do is to decide on a song that speaks to you, and choreograph a short and sweet routine of your choosing. Partner(s) optional. The dance style must be lindy hop, balboa, shag, blues, or from the jazz era, and the music must be pre-recorded jazz-era, or modern swing music. You will perform your routine during the regular social dance at Wednesday Night Hop to an encouraging and enthusiastic audience; you can also perform it the next night, October 10th, at The 9:20 Special! If ever there was a time to start performing, it's now. This event is open to dancers of all skill levels, but those with limited to no choreographed performance experience are strongly encouraged to participate. Please contact Brian Zimmer for WNH, and Rik Panganiban for The 9:20 Special with your choice of music before Monday, October 7th.

Even though our September classes are coming to an end, you can still drop in into any of them! Then stay for the dance party and enjoy the awesome music spun by DJ Margot!

*** SOLO JAZZ: Come Shake That Thing this summer! w/ Idalia ***
By popular demand, we are continuing our Zumba style class for swing dancers!!! This is a perfect class for those new to solo dancing as well to those willing to improve their skills. Get your feet wet and start doing what will ultimately make you a rock star of a dancer! Tip from the pros: being able to dance awesomely on your own will transfer into dancing awesomely with a partner :) (who would of thought, huh?) So come get a head start and confidence in your body movement, learn how to do cool moves, and get ready to rock out!!!
*** LEVEL 2: Swing Out -- Focus on the Send Out w/ Kylie & Roger ***
Do you and your social dancing partners a favor by taking care of them during one of the most important moves in lindy hop, the Swing Out! Learn some very useful new ways to think about the dance and expand your knowledge base and options for how to execute great and comfortable swingouts for both your leaders and your followers in myriad different ways. This class focuses mostly on counts 4,5&6 of the swingout which deals a lot with how the follow is sent out and what she can do with the different ways that happens.

*** LEVEL 1: Charleston w/ Margot and Richard ***
Come out and kick your way around some basic Charleston in this class with Margot and Richard. They will cover basic body movement, drill technique on Charleston kicks, teach you 20s and 30s style Charleston and get you ready to kick it on the social dance floor.
*** LEVEL 3: Flow & Momentum w/ Idalia & Brian ***
When dances feel the best a beautiful chord is struck between how leaders and followers interpret energy flow and loss or sustaining momentum created between both partners and from one partner to the other. Every pair of instructors will interpret this flow and momentum differently and will incorporate it into their dancing in exciting ways. Idalia and Brian will explore how they experience flow and momentum in their dancing and share some great ways you can think about it too.

*** DISCOUNTS! ***
WNH welcomes individuals of 24 years and younger! Show proof of age 24 and younger at the front desk for half off the price of series classes. If you are over 24 years old, but still carry enough credits to qualify as a full-time student, you are still eligible for the discount. Bring in your full-time class schedule for that semester or quarter to get the discount. Dances are also discounted to a admission cost. Drop-in classes are not discounted.
Discount policy for 24 and younger or full-time students:

for drop-in classes (same as regular price)
for the dance only (regularly or on band night)
*** PUNCH CARDS! ***
Wednesday Night offers value pre-paid punch cards for entrance to the dance only. Each card gets you 10 admissions to the dance party be it a band night or a special party or performance. No more messing around with cash at the door. Just present your card and sign in!
