1. THIS WEEK: March Series Conclude! DJ Kylie Woodard! Clothes Swap!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have the sassy and flamboyant Kylie Woodard to DJ for us this week, so get ready to dance your shoes off!
It's time to Spring Clean! Not to interfere with the dancing, we'll have a Clothes Swap corner set up this Wednesday. So go through your closets and bring new or slightly used clothes/shoes/accessories you no longer need. And/Or, look at other items in the Clothes Swap corner that people brought, and go home with a new cute garment -- it's a win-win, no matter how you look at it!

2. March Classes: Trevor & Julie! Gilles & Idalia! Margot & Richard!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
7:15-8:15pm
*** ELECTIVE: The One Step w/ Trevor & Julie ***
The One Step (a.k.a: the Turkey Trot, Bunny Hug, Grizzly Bear) is a dance that originated in the early 1900s and is often done to Ragtime music. At the Savoy and other ballrooms across the country, there were two dances done: the One Step, and the Two Step (also known as the Lindy Hop). All the Lindy greats knew how to One Step. In his book, Frankie Manning talks about how they would race along the outside of the floor dancing the One Step and then would finish up the song with some Lindy Hop. This class will show you how to dance the One Step, get you cruisin' around the dance floor with ease, and help you integrate these cool new variations into your Lindy Hop.
*** LEVEL 2: Swing Out Technique w/ Gilles & Idalia ***
If you're ready to take your swingout to a whole new level, this is the class for you! Gilles and Idalia will help you improve your fundamental technique while also providing exciting ideas for styling and adding flair to your swingout. We'll explore variations of rhythm and tempo, fancy footwork, and other creative options to jazz up your basic style. Through it all, you'll learn how to creatively transform your swingout so that you can take yourself and your partner to a whole new level of creativity and enjoyment.
8:15-9:15pm
*** LEVEL 1: CHARLESTON 101: Kickin' It Old School w/ Margot & Richard ***
Think fast music is just for "Advanced" dancers? Horsefeathers! This month, Richard and Margot will help you build a solid swing foundation on the original "fast dance," the Charleston. We'll cover basic footwork for facing and side-by-side Charleston, and some cute turns and hand-to-hand variations -- moves that integrate seamlessly into your Lindy hop, and make dancing to fast music even more fun!
*** LEVEL 3: Musicality & Rhythm Styling w/ Gilles & Idalia ***
In this class series, Gilles & Idalia will explore the basics of swing music structure and how this structure can or may be should affect your dancing. They will also guide you to find ideas on how you can match your body movement to the music rhythms.
