February series continue with some awesome teachers -- Kevin and Jo, international idols, share their knowledge in the Jazz and Level 3 classes; Kylie Woodard and Roger Thiede, experienced and fun instructors make their debut at WNH by Charlestoning with the Level 2 class; and finally, Gilles and Idalia bring the 6-count party to Level 1 class! Check out the class descriptions below, and you can still register for the rest of the month for a pro-rated price!

It's party time! Bring out your festive outfits in Purple, Gold, and Green, add some feathers and sparkle, and come out to our Mardi Gras party! We'll have temporary tattoos for you (don't worry, they come off with a little soap and water), and if you snap pictures of your amazing selves, we would love to see them posted on our Facebook wall!

Battle of The Bay Prelims are coming to Wednesday Night Hop this week! This Strictly Lindy contest is free and open for everybody. The top two couples get a free pass to Swingin' At The Savoy workshop, as well as the honor to represent WNH at the Battle of The Bay Strictly Lindy Contest Final on Friday Saturday 22nd at the welcome dance. First come first served sign-ups!
And last but not least -- The Swing Cats Rhythm Revue will be taking our breath away in their special performance! When they're in the house, you know you're in for a treat!

2. Swingin' At The Savoy: New Package Options! Enforcing Levels!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are very excited to offer new package options! Here's what we offer now:
Beginner Only -- this package includes the two beginner classes in the morning, the video clips & chat, the panel discussion and the dances the same night. Choose from All Weekend, Saturday Only, or Sunday Only.
Beginner / Intermediate -- this package includes the two Beginner classes and the two All-Level classes, as well as the video clips & chat, the panel discussion and the dances the same night. Choose from All Weekend, Saturday Only, or Sunday Only.
Dance Only Packages -- register for all the dances, or for individual nights. Even if you plan on only coming to the dances, it's worth preregistering for them online -- first, to save money, and second, to guarantee you get in. The workshop attendance is so large this year, we could get sold out!

IMPORTANT: We have refined our track levels. The Intermediate track is now Intermediate Plus, and the Full Pass Beginner track is now Beginner/Intermediate as it includes challenging all levels classes. We have added a Beginner Only Track that only includes beginner classes, along with the interview/talks and dances on the same day(s). Due to these changes, we may request that some dancers signed up for the Intermediate Track switch to Beginner/Intermediate, and some signed up for Advanced switch to Intermediate Plus. Thank you for your understanding.

3. February Classes: Kevin & Jo! Kylie Woodard & Roger Thiede! Gilles & Idalia!

*** FLASH ACTS: The Essential & The Not-So-Essential w/ Kevin & Jo ***
There are certain things that you should know if you call yourself a Lindy Hopper. Once you have a good hold of some of those routines and moves that make up a typical Lindy Hopper's vocabulary the more likely you will will be able to speak each other's language, no matter what your native language is! In this class, Kevin and Jo will combine some of those things that everyone knows with a few things that can be augmented by other stuff that is just plain fun and frivolous - the use of Hats, Canes, "Flash Act" elements, Dancing in Heels.
*** LEVEL 2: Partnered Charleston w/ Kylie & Roger ***
Did you know that The Charleston isn't just about the 1920s and flappers? Partnered Charleston plays a very special part in the ensemble of Lindy Hop. This month Roger & Kylie will teach you the joy and fun of partnered Charleston. You will learn different Charleston transitions, kicks and turns!

*** LEVEL 1: 6-Count Basics w/ Gilles & Idalia ***
This month we will be covering the fundamental 6-count basic. From there we can add some spice with tuck turns, add some send outs and underarm pass-bys for gracefulness . Then, we will top it off with some breaks and mess rounds for a nice musical touch, and voila! We have a wonderful recipe for social dancing!
*** LEVEL 3: Teacher's Choice w/ Kevin & Jo ***
Are you ready to become a better dancer? Well, if you are, then come to class and get your booty whipped into shape by the world-renowned Kevin and Jo!

4. Just For You: DISCOUNTS! Punch Cards!

WNH welcomes individuals of 24 years and younger! Show proof of age 24 and younger at the front desk for half off the price of series classes. If you are over 24 years old, but still carry enough credits to qualify as a full-time student, you are still eligible for the discount. Bring in your full-time class schedule for that semester or quarter to get the discount. Dances are also discounted to a admission cost. Drop-in classes are not discounted.
Discount policy for 24 and younger or full-time students:

for drop-in classes (same as regular price)
for the dance only (regularly or on band night)

Wednesday Night offers value pre-paid punch cards for entrance to the dance only. Each card gets you 10 admissions to the dance party be it a band night or a special party or performance. No more messing around with cash at the door. Just present your card and sign in!
