Are you ready for some awesomeness? The amazing duo, Kevin St Laurent and Jo Hoffberg are coming to town and will be teaching at Wednesday Night Hop!
This January is a lucky month because it has five Wednesdays in it. Our series are 4 weeks long and classes on week 5 are drop-ins. We always do something special on that week, and what can be more special than the fiery Jo Hoffberg coming to teach? She will be teaching an All Levels and the Level 3 classes, check out the descriptions below and be sure to be there!
Kevin will be joining Jo in February. Together they will teach the Level 3 class, and Kevin is going to teach a Hat Tricks class! Do you have your hat ready? Here we have some tips on how to choose the correct hat:

And then, as if it wasn't enough, we will be having even more top notch instructors coming to teach at our Swingin' At The Savoy workshop on February 22-24! Skye & Frida, Todd & Ramona, Kevin St Laurent and Karen Turman -- yes, all of these legends will be here! Two live bands, three nights of dancing and late nights -- what are you waiting for? Our 4-week series conclude this week, but as always, you can drop in to any of our classes.
A National Hat Day happens every January, and we wanted to celebrate it with a Hats (Not Caps) party! There are many hat lovers in the Lindy Hop community, as a head-dress was a necessary part of the outfit back in the day. We can't wait to see your most elegant, cutest or craziest hat this Wednesday! And the music will be played by the awesome DJ Shane. We haven't had him for a while and we're super psyched to have him back!

So, you've learned the basic charleston, swingout and 6 count basics... now, how are you going to put them all together? In this class, we'll teach you how to build on your 6 and 8 count basics, seamlessly transition between movements, and expand your vocabulary of moves. Through it all, we'll also address foundational skills such as connection and frame.
*** ELECTIVE: All Levels Balboa w/ Randy & Kara ***
We are so very excited to have Randy & Kara teach our balboa series this month, because their schedule do not usually allow it. They are among the very best Balboa teachers in the Bay Area, don't miss this rare chance to learn from them!

*** LEVEL 1: Lindy Hop in The New Year w/ Trevor & Audrey ***
It's the new year and it's time to SWING OUT!! Come join Audrey and Trevor as they teach you the fundamentals of lindy hop! This month we'll be focusing on lindy hop's signature move, the swingout, and other 8-count moves. If you'd like to refresh your basics, this is also an excellent 4-week progressive series for you. Swingouts, new moves, and lots of fun for everyone! A one, a two, you know what to do...
*** LEVEL 3: Balance & Movement w/ Gilles & Idalia ***
Dancing is all about movement. Moves are really just an after fact of body movement to create shapes and figures, some of which dancers enjoy repeating. In this series class, Gilles & Idalia will explore the creation, transmission, and continuity of movement in your dancing while interacting with your partner. They will also guide you through exercises to better understand how your body balance influences your dancing and partnership, and make followers focus on what they feel instead of just what they see.

WNH welcomes individuals of 24 years and younger! Show proof of age 24 and younger at the front desk for half off the price of series classes. If you are over 24 years old, but still carry enough credits to qualify as a full-time student, you are still eligible for the discount. Bring in your full-time class schedule for that semester or quarter to get the discount. Dances are also discounted to a admission cost. Drop-in classes are not discounted.
Discount policy for 24 and younger or full-time students:

for the dance only (regularly or on band night)

Wednesday Night offers value pre-paid punch cards for entrance to the dance only. Each card gets you 10 admissions to the dance party be it a band night or a special party or performance. No more messing around with cash at the door. Just present your card and sign in!
