Thank you DJ Angela for a great night last week! The prom committee is gearing up for our Lindy Prom on June 20th, so start thinking about what you're going to wear! Our theme this year is "Sailing Away", and all things nautical (or just prom-y) will be welcome additions to our lovely decorations.

Making their Wednesday Night Hop debut, Americano Social Club will be in the house, featuring Michael Zisman, Jason Vanderford, Joe Kyle Jr and special guest Clint Baker! Don't miss them, Jason has promised that they will be SWINGING HARD all night long! And, on band breaks, DJ Alex Nah will keep us and the floor nice and hot with his tunes.
Just for kicks, Tiffany has dubbed this week the Unofficial Little Red Dress Night. So, ladies, come in your red (or other brightly colored) dresses; and gentlemen, you can take part with your brightly colored pants!

Our June series will start June 6th, we haven't nailed down the details for our Levels 2 and 3 classes yet, so watch our web page for that info as it comes in.
7:15-8:15pm:
== LEVEL 1 WITH MARGOT AND RICHARD: "CHARLESTON 101: KICKIN' IT OLD SCHOOL" ==
Think fast music is just for "Advanced" dancers? Horsefeathers! This month, Richard and Margot will help you build a solid swing foundation on the original "fast dance," the Charleston. We'll cover basic footwork for 20's style Charleston (face-to-face) and 30's style Charelston (side-by-side). We'll also show you some cute turns and hand-to-hand variations- moves that integrate seamlessly into your Lindy hop, and make dancing to fast music even more fun!
== SOLO JAZZ WITH REBECCA SHANNON: BALLIN' THE JACK ROUTINE ==
Ballin' the Jack is a song and dance created in 1913 which remained part of the popular culture up until the mid 1960's. It's comprised of traditional jazz (grapevines, scissors kicks, etc) and some razz-ma-tazz. It was one of Gene Kelly's favorite short routines. Bring a hat with a brim if you have one!

== LEVEL 2: SWINGOUT STYLING AND TECHNIQUE ==
This month, your instructors will be working on your swingouts! The swingout is the basic building block of our 8 count Lindy Hop, and learning to do it right, while dressing it up, will take your Lindy Hop to the next level!

WNH welcomes individuals of 24 years and younger! Show proof of age 24 and younger at the front desk for half off the price of series classes. If you are over 24 years old, but still carry enough credits to qualify as a full-time student, you are still eligible for the discount. Bring in your full-time class schedule for that semester or quarter to get the discount. Dances are also discounted to a admission cost. Drop-in classes are not discounted.
Discount policy for 24 and younger or full-time students:
for series classes (regularly )
for drop-in classes (same as regular price)
for the dance only (regularly or on band night)

Wednesday Night offers value pre-paid punch cards for entrance to the dance only. Each card gets you 10 admissions to the dance party be it a band night or a special party or performance. No more messing around with cash at the door. Just present your card and sign in!
If you signed up for the class series and you would like to introduce Lindy Hop to someone who has never been to Wednesday Night Hop before, ask your instructor for a 2-for-1 coupon. You can sign up for your next series class for only for the continuing student and for the brand new dancer! Spread the gospel of swing!
