*** INTERMEDIATE - BAL-RUEDA! ***
7:15 - 8:15pm
You already know Swing Rueda: a called group dance around a circle based on Casino Rueda. Now translate that image into Balboa. This is an intermediate level class, so please come knowing: basic footwork, come-around, break-turn, throw-out, cross-overs, and lollies and be comfortable transitioning between Pure Balboa and Bal-swing. *** LEVEL 1 - CHARLESTON & BEYOND ***
8:15 - 9:15pm
Did you know that the Charleston preceded even swing and lindy hop? It's true! Come learn the fundamental steps that took the 1920s by storm, and which today form the basis of all that we call swing. Cheryl and Brian will teach you fundamental Charleston moves this month and will help you figure out how to fit them with whatever other moves you already know...but fear not if you've never danced before, we'll get you up to speed on swing basics as well!
*** LEVEL 2 - SWING-OUT TECHNIQUE ***
7:15 - 8:15pm
The swingout is the bread and butter of lindy hop - the circular movement of the swingout differentiates lindy hop from east coast swing, and makes lindy hop so dynamic to do and watch. You learned the basic elements of the swingout in your Level 1 class; now, it's time to tweak your swingouts so they can be as awesome as you want them to be! In this class, we'll give you tools to improve your swingout technique and will cover some ridiculously fun styling options such as swivels, scissor kicks, swoops, and more. Throughout it all, we will also work on how to maximize your connection to your partner.
*** LEVEL 3 - SPECIAL TOPICS ***
8:15 - 9:15pm
Each week we will do something that we've been wanting to do for a long time! (topic subject to change - we're working on it, but we are so excited for this series that we want to share some of the ideas and loose schedule that we are firming up as this is being sent!)
*Competition Class - Talk about competing, how to do it, what the judges are looking for and hold a little preliminary and final contest during the hour. Who better to coach us on the ins and outs of competition than champion lindy hopper, Kevin St. Laurent!
*Musicality Class - Rhythm guitar, Banjo and Vocalist, Jason Vanderford will join us in class this day for a half dance / half seminar class all about rhythm and musicality!
*Critique Session - Diagnose what you are doing well and what you need the most work on. This is one of the best things you can do for your Lindy Hop. If you can stand the pressure, the results will be worth it!
*Teacher Panel Question & Answer - Some WNH teachers and beyond will answer and expound on your burning questions. Submit your questions all month leading up to this final week of 2011!

WNH welcomes individuals of 24 years and younger! Show proof of age 24 and younger at the front desk for half off the price of series classes. If you are over 24 years old, but still carry enough credits to qualify as a full-time student, you are still eligible for the discount. Bring in your full-time class schedule for that semester or quarter to get the discount. Dances are also discounted to a admission cost. Drop-in classes are not discounted.

Wednesday Night offers value pre-paid punch cards for entrance to the dance only. Each card gets you 10 admissions to the dance party be it a band night or a special party or performance. No more messing around with cash at the door. Just present your card and sign in!
If you signed up for the class series and you would like to introduce Lindy Hop to someone who has never been to Wednesday Night Hop before, ask your instructor for a 2-for-1 coupon.
