This Wednesday kicks off our new 3-week series classes and we will be holding the first prelim round of our Harvest Moon Jack & Jill Competition. There will be four weeks of preliminary rounds of competition during which you can qualify for the final on December 7th! Prizes include passes to Midwest Lindyfest and Camp Jitterbug and Swingin' at the Savoy!
The contest is open to all amateur level competitors. It is only to enter! The first week kicks off with Rich and the Rhythm Roustabouts!

It's band night at the Hop! Wednesday Night Hop is excited to welcome for the very first time Rich & The Rhythm Roustabouts. The Rhythm Roustabouts are a group of musicians working with the knowledge that your Jazz should be hot and your Swing should be hard hitting. The Roustabouts are ready to rally with enough power to keep the party going all night & enough soul to sing your blues through to morning.

3-WEEK SERIES IN NOVEMBER
The exciting return of Megan Hornbecker Sershen teaching classes at Wednesday Night Hop! We are offering 3-week series this November, WNH will be closed on November 23rd for Thanksgiving. The next 4-week series will start November 30th and continue through December 21st.
Each week, you can choose 2 of our 4 fantastic classes. Online registration is open for series and drop-in classes:

*** ALL LEVELS - FRENCHY BAL-SWING ***
7:15 - 8:15pm
This month, our fantastic guest teacher Romain, visiting from France, and Pinar will add a bit more spice to your Balboa with an entire month of Bal-Swing. They will add spins and turns, returning to closed position connection on occasion. The class will cover cross over-breaks, lolly kicks, throw outs, the come-around, and many variations thereof for those more experienced dancers (and you know you will have some fancy stuff with Romain teaching). The class starts with basics, so all levels are encouraged to take it.
*** LEVEL 1 - BLENDING RHYTHMS ***
8:15 - 9:15pm
It's time to swing! One of the most fun parts of swing dancing is that we get to blend 8-count footwork, 6-count footwork, and other interesting rhythms. It's never boring, to say the least! In this beginner level 3-week series class, Cheryl & Brian will not only teach you some basic 6 and 8-count moves, but we'll also explore the art of transitioning between these rhythms. Through it all, we'll get you swinging' with style!
*** LEVEL 2 - KICK IT TANDEM CHARLESTON STYLE ***
7:15 - 8:15pm
Guess who's back? Megan is done having kids, so she's jumping back into teaching again. Kick your Charleston up a notch with some cool tandem moves and fun variations. We'll teach you entrances and exits into Tandem Charleston, and some cool turns and patterns. Don't miss this rare chance to see WNH's founders Trevor & Megan teaching together again.
*** LEVEL 3 - CRAZY SWING-OUTS! ***
8:15 - 9:15pm
Want to learn how to make your swingouts more musical, exciting, and crazy? That will be the aim of this class! Starting from a clean "back to the basic" swingout, we will build step by step to the craziest variations to make your partner smile and set the dance floor on fire!

WNH welcomes individuals of 24 years and younger! Show proof of age 24 and younger at the front desk for half off the price of series classes. If you are over 24 years old, but still carry enough credits to qualify as a full-time student, you are still eligible for the discount. Bring in your full-time class schedule for that semester or quarter to get the discount. Dances are also discounted to a admission cost. Drop-in classes are not discounted.

for the dance only (regularly or on band night)

Wednesday Night offers value pre-paid punch cards for entrance to the dance only. Each card gets you 10 admissions to the dance party be it a band night or a special party or performance. No more messing around with cash at the door. Just present your card and sign in!
If you signed up for the class series and you would like to introduce Lindy Hop to someone who has never been to Wednesday Night Hop before, ask your instructor for a 2-for-1 coupon. You can sign up for your next series class for only for the continuing student and for the brand new dancer! Spread the gospel of swing!
