Heads up! We will be holding our progressive Harvest Moon Jack and Jill Competition again this year starting in November! There will be four weeks of preliminary rounds of competition during which you can qualify for the final on December 7th! Let's get ready to rumble!

DJ Autumn LaVarta comes to WNH for the first time! Autumn is a seasoned DJ from San Francisco, please do your best to give him a warm Wednesday Night Hop welcome!
Will we or will we not have a 15-min Free Lesson teaching Frankie Manning's Shim Sham (to complement the Dean Collins Shim Sham being taught in Level 3 classes this month)? It all depends on how long we can keep the room divider up at the very beginning of the dance without over crowding! We hope to still do it at 9:30 on Wednesday - ALL LEVELS WELCOME! Now could be your chance to learn the Shim Sham!

*** COLLEGIATE SHAG ***
7:15 - 8:15pm
This October, Julie and Trevor will be teaching Collegiate Shag! What, pray tell, is the Collegiate Shag? It's a dance that evolved from the Charleston and was popular in the 1920's and 1930's with college students. It's an excellent dance to do when the tempos really start jumping and its 6 & 8 count footwork will help you keep up with ease! In this four week series, expect to become versed in shag styles, variations, and cool patterns! We'll get you shaggin' out to the faster songs, no problem! We’ll take you from the basics of shag, so no previous shag experience is necessary but previous lindy and/or partner dancing experience is recommended. Expand your dance repertoire with this captivating dance form!
*** LEVEL 1 - WE LOVE 8 COUNTS! ***

We love 8 counts!!! The rock step, the triple step, the rock step plus the triple step… Angela and Gilles will rock your 8 counts this month with comprehensive and fun fundamentals in this Level 1 series class. This is the basic of all the awesomeness, no experience needed! If you’d like to refresh your basics, this is also the excellent 4-week progressive lessons for you!
*** LEVEL 2 - SWEET FRANKIE MOVES ***
7:15 - 8:15pm
For this series class, Angela and Gilles will share with you some really sweet moves from the legendary Frankie Manning. We also would like to help you to explore more options in turning and dipping (or being turned and dipped!). Join us for 4 weeks of fun and challenge!
*** LEVEL 3 - DEAN COLLINS SHIM SHAM ***
8:15 - 9:15pm
Have you yearned to insert some tricky footwork into the Shim Sham line dance, popularly done at social dances around the globe? Do you want to improve your solo dancing by learning some challenging choreography? Have you ever wondered what the move called "Tabby the Cat" looks like? Well, this class is for you. In the Dean Collins Shim Sham class with Cheryl & Brian, we will introduce you to the silky smooth styling that Dean Collins made so popular. We'll break down the routine so that after 4 weeks you will be able to confidently perform it in front of the local Wednesday Night Hop crowd...and beyond! WNH welcomes individuals of 24 years and younger! Show proof of age 24 and younger at the front desk for half off the price of series classes. If you are over 24 years old, but still carry enough credits to qualify as a full-time student, you are still eligible for the discount. Bring in your full-time class schedule for that semester or quarter to get the discount. Dances are also discounted to a admission cost. Drop-in classes are not discounted.

for the dance only (regularly or on band night)

Wednesday Night offers value pre-paid punch cards for entrance to the dance only. Each card gets you 10 admissions to the dance party be it a band night or a special party or performance. No more messing around with cash at the door. Just present your card and sign in!
If you signed up for the class series and you would like to introduce Lindy Hop to someone who has never been to Wednesday Night Hop before, ask your instructor for a 2-for-1 coupon.
