Wednesday Night Hop is turning 6! Join us to celebrate our 6th birthday party; we promise there will be no scary clowns or magic shows, but you can count on cake and some darn great music from our old house band Stompy Jones!
Half of our founding couple, DJ Trevor, does it all this night as he teaches two classes, spins the tunes during the band break and performs with his dance troupe, Swing Cats Rhythm Revue! Phew, how does he do it?! Keep your eyes out for the Lindy Hop peanut butter to his jelly; we hope Megan can also make it out to celebrate with us too! Ask her to dance; she's awesome.

Register online now! If you are purchasing regular priced classes please do so in advance with our new online registration. We accept paypal and credit card payments. We will allow registration up until 11:59pm the Tuesday before the first class of the series. Yes, that gives you about two days to take advantage of this handy tool!

This month at Wednesday Night Hop:
*** LEVEL 1 - 8-COUNT LINDY HOP ***
8:15 - 9:15pm
For this 4-week series, Julie & Trevor will be giving you a solid foundation for your Lindy Hop, (Lindy basic, swing-out from closed, and Lindy circle), as well as some fun lead and follow variations on top of that. And don't forget the jazz! Julie & Trevor will be spicing up the series with jazz stylings that can easily be incorporated into your Lindy Hop basics.
*** LEVEL 2 - FAST-FORWARD & SLOW-MOTION SWINGOUTS ***
7:15 - 8:15pm
It's time to tear open the Lindy package and sink our teeth into some tasty basics contributing to a replete repertoire of moves for the social dance floor. Gilles and Audrey, eager to feed you some swing-out technique, hope to make your swingouts leaner, meaner, relaxed and energized by efficiency. Covering outside turn variations, a smorgasbord of tuck turns, barrel roll, dips and a bit of Frankie Manning's classic favorites, this class will make your head spin, with some cherry-topping traveling turns and pop turns - skirts will fly!
*** LEVEL 3 - FAST LINDY FUN!!! ***
7:15 - 8:15pm
Better double knot those shoelaces to prevent injury to others (you know...having your shoes fly off)! In this series, Julie & Trevor will be cranking up the tempo, covering fast Lindy technique, and adding in a mess of other cool stuff.
*** ALL LEVELS BALBOA - DANCING FAST AND TURNING ***
8:15 - 9:15pm
Kick your Balboa into high gear in April with Jeff & Pinar! We will be focusing on dancing effortlessly to higher tempos. We will also be introducing a lot of super fun turns that safe at any speed, and one very special hijack for the follows that's fun for both partners!

*** DISCOUNTS! ***
WNH welcomes individuals of 24 years and younger! Show proof of age 24 and younger at the front desk for half off the price of series classes. If you are over 24 years old, but still carry enough credits to qualify as a full-time student, you are still eligible for the discount. Bring in your full-time class schedule for that semester or quarter to get the discount. Dances are also discounted to a $6 admission cost. Drop-in classes are not discounted.
Discount policy for 24 and younger or full-time students:
$25 for series classes (regularly $50)
$16 for drop-in classes (same as regular price)
$6 for the dance only (regularly $8 or $12 on band night)
*** PUNCH CARDS & 2-FOR-1 COUPONS! ***
Wednesday Night offers $80 value pre-paid punch cards for entrance to the dance only. Each card gets you 10 admissions to the dance party be it a band night or a special party or performance. No more messing around with cash at the door. Just present your card and sign in!
If you signed up for the class series and you would like to introduce Lindy Hop to someone who has never been to Wednesday Night Hop before, ask your instructor for a 2-for-1 coupon. You can sign up for your next series class for only $25 for the continuing student and $25 for the brand new dancer! Spread the gospel of swing!
