We are officially halfway through determining our finalists for the $400 Harvest Moon Jack 'n' Jill Derby! Last week Angela Lee Yang and Romain Feuillette won a place in the final contest on Dec 1st danced to live music. In addition to our cash prize, we will be awarding passes to Camp Jitterbug up in Seattle on Memorial Day weekend, and the SF Balboa & Swing Festival happening in December. There are three more weeks of preliminary rounds.
Thanks so much for also participating in our Hallowe'en costume contest and scavenger hunt! Stephanie took away our top prize with her "Business in front, Party in back" costume! That's right; she dressed as a mullet!

Solomon Douglas is back at Wednesday Night Hop but this time he brings the whole "Swingtet"! 10 of some of the best musicians from around the country will fill our floor with a big band sound. Super rare these days, so come out and take advantage of the energy you get from a big band.
Because of your continued support, we bring you the Solomon Douglas Swinget at the same price as other regular band nights. Thank you all!
Don't forget! We will still have a preliminary Jack & Jill contest this night during the band break with DJ Trevor on the spinning tunes. Sign up to win a spot in the final.

2. November Series Classes with Gilles & Evonne!

Check out what else is happening in November! This will be a 3-week series taught by Gilles and Evonne. WNH will be taking a break on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Happy T-day everybody!
*** LEVEL 1 - 6-COUNT & 8-COUNT LINDY RHYTHMS ***
8:15 - 9:15pm
Build or expand your Lindy repertoire with this 3-week series with Gilles and Evonne. We will cover fundamental 6-count and 8-count moves along with some fun (Thanksgiving inspired) variations that will get you swinging on the dance floor at once.
*** LEVEL 2 - FIND YOUR BOUNCE ***
7:15 - 8:15pm
Come bounce with us as we explore the Lindy rhythm with 8 count moves. In this 3-week series, Gilles and Evonne will cover travel moves to help you find your Lindy pulse, swing out and texas tommy variations, and swivel styling. Be prepared for three weeks of fun!

3. Special SF Bal & Swing Fest Discounts for series class enrollees!

Hey! If you are signed up for series classes at WNH during the month of November and December, you will be eligible for special discounted tickets to the SF Balboa and Swing Festival! The rosters for these two months of classes will be sent to the organizers so that when you sign up on line at the following link, you can reference your enrollment with us after this week of registrations are finalized.

4. Just For You: DISCOUNTS! Punch Cards & 2-for-1 Coupons!

*** DISCOUNTS! ***
WNH welcomes individuals of 24 years and younger! Show proof of age 24 and
younger at the front desk for half off the price of series classes. If you
are over 24 years old, but still carry enough credits to qualify as a
full-time student, you are still eligible for the discount. Bring in your
full-time class schedule for that semester or quarter to get the discount.
Dances are also discounted to a $5 admission cost. Drop-in classes are not
discounted.
Discount policy for 24 and younger or full-time students:
$25 for series classes (regularly $50)
$14 or $15 for drop-in classes (same as regular price)
$5 for the dance only (regularly $7 or $10 on band night)

Wednesday Night offers $70 value pre-paid punch cards for entrance to the
dance only. Each card gets you 10 admissions to the dance party be it a
band night or a special party or performance. No more messing around with

If you signed up for the class series and you would like to introduce Lindy
Hop to someone who has never been to Wednesday Night Hop before, ask your
instructor for a 2-for-1 coupon. You can sign up for your next series class
for only $25 for the continuing student and $25 for the brand new dancer!
