1. THIS WEEK: September 15th - DJ Alex Fernandez!

This week we have DJ Alex Fernandez in the house. As always, he will be playing an amazing selection of music for our dancing pleasure.
If you want to participate in the next flash mob, there will be another rehearsal session at 9:30pm this week to help prepare you.

2. September Series Classes continue with Gabe & Andrea!

This is the 3rd week of our Charleston classes with Gabe and Andrea. If you missed the first two weeks then you can still join the series, but be prepared for a slightly faster pace.
*** LEVEL 1 - LINDY HOP AND CHARLESTON ***
8:15 - 9:15pm
Come learn (or expand) your Lindy Hop fundamentals and we will throw in a splash of Charleston. We will begin by covering the basics of Lindy Hop and then progressively incorporate Charleston movements. Lindy evolved from Charleston and the two are often danced interchangeably. Come out and have a great time expanding your repertoire.
*** LEVEL 2 - CHARLESTON TO BLOW YOUR MIND ***
7:15 - 8:15pm
In this month's 4-week series we will be expanding your vocabulary of Charleston moves. We guarantee that every class will have at least one move that you've never seen before. There will be a good coverage of all partner Charleston positions and the flow between them. Not only will we be covering lots of great moves, but we will also cover the followers technique to accomplish the moves with grace and confidence. We look forward to seeing you on the dance floor.

Class includes free admission to the dance party.
7:15pm - Level 2 Int Lindy Hop ($14 drop-in)
8:15pm - Level 1 Beg Lindy Hop ($14 drop-in)
9:15pm - 11:45pm - Only $7! ($7 regular, $5 24&under)
($21 both drop-in classes)

On September 22nd we are having our next theme party. Come and dress the part in a school uniform, or vintage sock hop garb. Backpacks are also welcome, and be ready for some fun and games.

4. Upcoming Event: Sept. 29th: LIVE BAND - Solomon Douglas!

Come on out for a not-to-be-missed treat! Solomon Douglas is a jazz pianist and bandleader, whose various bands have played at more than fifty exchanges, camps, workshops, and other events in North America, Asia, and Australia in the past ten years. His experience as a swing dancer and dance instructor gives him an understanding unique among musicians of the music that swing dancers and blues dancers like to dance to!
We're happy to have Solomon play for us while he's in town. His unique knowledge of both dancing and music makes his arrangements perfect for dancing.

WNH welcomes individuals of 24 years and younger! Show proof of age 24 and younger at the front desk for half off the price of series classes. If you are over 24 years old, but still carry enough credits to qualify as a full-time student, you are still eligible for the discount. Bring in your full-time class schedule for that semester or quarter to get the discount. Dances are also discounted to a $5 admission cost. Drop-in classes are not discounted.
Discount policy for 24 and younger or full-time students:
$25 for series classes (regularly $50)
$14 or $15 for drop-in classes (same as regular price)
$5 for the dance only (regularly $7 or $10 on band night)
