Woo HOO! What a great time we had last week with DJ Shane! Thanks so much to Angela and Steve for bringing some awesome chilled apricots right off of their tree!
Hey we had a great Flash Mob rehearsal last weekend! If you want to join us you still can! Join the Wednesday Night Hop Google group and stay informed on when and where we will be meeting. We'll go over the formations and orientation in the target area before each time go out and "perform" it, so you can still join in any time!
Now's the time! If you've got a friend who's always wanted learn how to Lindy Hop this summer, we are launching our summer swing program for beginners. Three months of beginner instruction for the price of two! Normally $150, you get lessons in July, August, and September for only $100. The program starts on July 7th when we will be hosting Clint Baker's New Orleans Jazz Band! Register online or in person before 10pm on Wednesday at the front desk of Cheryl Burke Dance.

This will be the 5th Wednesday of June so instead of a series class, Gabe and Andrea will be teaching a special drop-in class for both level 1 and level 2.
Level 1 - Icing For Your Lindy Cake
8:15 - 9:15pm
Come learn some sweet stylings to ice the cake of your beginning Lindy Hop. We will work some sugary swivels and some spicy leaders variations as well. Time permitting we'll go into some good dips for the social dance floor. There will be equal emphasis on leads and follows footwork and body variations. These stylings will be accessible to all levels, but be ready to be challenged.
Level 2 - Intermediate/Advanced Bal-Swing Combinations
7:15 - 8:15pm
This 5th week class is the next level continuation of the month's Balboa series. We will be working on combining basic moves with a twist into new and interesting combinations. Whether you've taken this month's series, or just want to drop-in for some new Bal-swing, come on out for an exciting class. You must be comfortable doing the Balboa basic, break-time, and come-arounds to attend this class.

Class includes free admission to the dance party.
7:15pm - Level 2 Intermediate Lindy Hop ($14 drop-in)
8:15pm - Level 1 Beginning Lindy Hop ($14 drop-in)
9:15pm - 11:45pm - Dance Party! ($7 Dance party)

2. July Series Classes start on 7/7 with Adam & Pinar!

Adam and Pinar are back in July to kick off Summer Swing, check out their great series classes offering.
Level 1 - Summer Swing Kick Off!
8:15 - 9:15pm
Kicking off the three month Summer Special series Adam and Pinar will start teaching you strong fundamentals upon which you can build a long and healthy passion for lindy hop. Start the summer swingin' out in style to the extraordinary music that is America's greatest heritage. Warning: Lindy hop can lead to copious amounts of fun and excitement!
Level 2 - Jazz Inspired Lindy Hop!
7:15 - 8:15pm
What do Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa and even Cakewalk have in common? Jazz music from the early 20th century has inspired the birth of all these dances. Not only is it possible to dance all of them to the same music, the different aesthetics and techniques from each enrich our expression as dancers. In this series, Adam and Pinar will show you how to integrate concepts from various swing dances to your lindy hop and add a splash of style and a dash of fun.

WNH is launching a discount price policy for high school and college aged
individuals! Show proof of age 24 and younger at the front desk for half
off the price of series classes. If you are over 24 years old, but still
carry enough credits to qualify as a full-time student, you are still
eligible for the discount. Bring in your full-time class schedule for that
semester or quarter to get the discount. Dances are also discounted to a $5
admission cost. Drop-in classes are not discounted.
Discount policy for 24 and younger or full-time students:
$25 for series classes (regularly $50)
$14 or $15 for drop-in classes (same as regular price)
$5 for the dance only (regularly $7 or $10 on band night)

Wednesday Night offers $70 value pre-paid punch cards for entrance to the
dance only. Each card gets you 10 admissions to the dance party be it a

Hop to someone who has never been to Wednesday Night Hop before, ask your
instructor for a 2-for-1 coupon. You can sign up for your next series class
for only $25 for the continuing student and $25 for the brand new dancer!
