Thanks for celebrating Frankie's birthday with us last week at Wednesday Night Hop! DJ Alex P kept us dancing to the ladies of swing music all night long and payed homage to Frankie's memory with some "Shiny Stockings" and a little shim sham after the jam!
Mark you calendars! Our next band night will be on June 9th with the California Honeydrops!
Heads up! You can still join in on the flash mob in June. All of the choreography is on our youtube account and we will be holding blocking practices on two Sundays in June. Come join us! It's not too late to learn the simplest version of the routine and have a great time with us surprising the masses! We'll keep you posted!
One more thing! If you've got a friend who wants to learn how to Lindy Hop this summer, we are launching our summer swing program for beginners. Three months of beginner instruction for the price of two! Normally $150, you get lessons in July, August and September for only $100.

Start a new series of classes this month with Gabe and Andrea! It's best to build on what you learn each week instead of dropping in on one or two classes every now and then. Now's the time to start!
DJ Alex F will be spinning the tunes for us this week.

2. June Series Classes with Gabe & Andrea!

Level 1 - Lindy Hop and Charleston
8:15 - 9:15pm
Come learn (or expand) your Lindy Hop fundamentals and we will throw in a splash of Charleston. We will begin by covering the basics of Lindy Hop and then progressively incorporate Charleston movements. Lindy evolved from Charleston and the two are often danced interchangeably. Come out and have a great time expanding your repertoire.
This series is suitable from the absolute beginner with no dance experience to dancers of any level looking to refresh their basics. No experience is necessary! No partner necessary! Just bring your enthusiasm!
Level 2 - Beginning Balboa
7:15 - 8:15pm
Back by popular demand!! Balboa is the perfect compliment for your Lindy Hop and Charleston. Like Charleston, Balboa is well suited for mid to high tempo swing music. We will cover all the fundamental building blocks to get you well on your way to being a great Balboa dancer. This class will include closed-position Balboa variations, as well as Bal-Swing variations.
This class is suitable for intermediate dancers with 6+ months of continuous dancing experience. No partner necessary! Just bring your enthusiasm!

7:15pm - Level 2 Intermediate Lindy Hop ($50 Series, $14 drop-in)
8:15pm - Level 1 Beginning Lindy Hop ($50 Series, $14 drop-in)
9:15pm - 11:45pm - Dance Party! ($7 Dance party)
($75 for both series, $21 to drop in both Level 1 & 2)

WNH is launching a discount price policy for high school and college aged individuals! Show proof of age 24 and younger at the front desk for half off the price of series classes. If you are over 24 years old, but still carry enough credits to qualify as a full-time student, you are still eligible for the discount. Bring in your full-time class schedule for that semester or quarter to get the discount. Dances are also discounted to a $5 admission cost. Drop-in classes are not discounted.
Discount policy for 24 and younger or full-time students:
$25 for series classes (regularly $50)
$14 or $15 for drop-in classes (same as regular price)
$5 for the dance only (regularly $7 or $10 on band night)

Wednesday Night offers $70 value pre-paid punch cards for entrance to the dance only. Each card gets you 10 admissions to the dance party be it a band night or a special party or performance. No more messing around with cash at the door. Just present your card and sign in!
If you signed up for the class series and you would like to introduce Lindy Hop to someone who has never been to Wednesday Night Hop before, ask your instructor for a 2-for-1 coupon. You can sign up for your next series class for only $25 for the continuing student and $25 for the brand new dancer! Spread the gospel of swing!
