The energy on the floor last week was unreal! Live music from Le Jazz Hot and the biggest birthday jam we've ever had - so many amazing people doing amazing things, coming together at Wednesday Night Hop!
This coming week is the last party of the year and we want to celebrate in style! Everything happens on the 16th! Read on for more details about the White Out Party, our free Black & White photo booth, guest performances, the last week of our Guest Instructor Series, and the last day of our virtual food drive! Phew!

1. THIS WEEK: Dec 16th - WHITE OUT PARTY! Free Photo Booth! Performances!

Celebrate the holidays and make one last impression on 2009 by coming to the Wednesday Night Hop WHITE OUT PARTY!
WEAR WHITE! and take an artsy black and white photo with your friends in our free photo booth! The booth will be open to take your photo during the first half of each hour and we'll print your pics on site during the second half of each hour of the dance.
Dance the night away with DJs Gabe & Andrea and stick around for some inspiring performances by the Rhythm Honeys and Swing Cats Rhythm Revue!
Your attendance gives! For everybody who comes through our doors this night, we will donate $1 toward our virtual food drive. Contribute more if you feel the giving spirit!

2. Lessons December: Guest Instructors Series continues w/Nicole & Kirk!

Guest Instructor series this month! This week please welcome Nicole Frydman and Kirk Tarou from the 9:20 Special - a dance party and lessons given every Thursday Night in San Francisco! They, in turn, have opened the doors of the 9:20 Special and offered a discount to WNH. Mention you are with WNH at the door of the 9:20 Special on December 17th and attend the dance for only $5.
Level 1 - Foundations of Lindy Hop with Nicole & Kirk
8:15 - 9:15pm
So you want to learn how to Swing dance? You want to experience the
exhilaration and joy of Jazz music and partner dancing? Leave your troubles
behind the way they did it back in the 1930s & 40s! The best way to start
is to have a good foundation, and this month series will give you that
great Swing-out, Lindy Circle and Charleston foundation!
Level 2 - It's a Wonderful World of Lindy Hop with Nicole & Kirk
7:15 - 8:15pm
It's been said that you will rise to greatness if you have a hunger for
your goal. Seek out as many avenues of knowledge as you can! During the
month of December, experience Lindy Hop through the lens of some of the
best instructors in the South Bay and beyond! Eddie Gutman, Yon Na, and
Pinar Bailey, Nicole Frydman and Kirk Tarou will be expanding our horizons and bringing their unique flavor to Wednesday Night Hop!

Class includes free admission to the dance party.
7:15pm - Level 2 Intermediate Lindy Hop ($14 drop-in)
8:15pm - Level 1 Beginning Lindy Hop ($14 drop-in)
9:15pm - 12am - WHITE OUT PARTY! ($7)
($21 to drop in both Level 1 & 2)
Cash, Checks or Credit Cards are accepted before 10pm.

3. Virtual Food Drive with Second Harvest Food Bank! Donate if you can

WNH has started its 2009 Holiday Food & Fund Drive to support Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties. Our drive will assist Second Harvest to feed those struggling to eat during these tough economic times.
Each month Second Harvest serves an average of 207,566 people, a 17% increase over last year. For many callers, this is the first time they are tapping into the Food Bank's services. Let's do our part to make sure no child, senior or family goes hungry this holiday season.
Please help us raise money for this valuable cause. We'll have a laptop set up if you would like to make a donation at WNH, and, if you come to the dance party this week, we will donate a dollar of your admission to the food drive automatically!

We will be closed for the holidays after this week but we'll see you next year! Trevor and Audrey will be back to teach both Level 1 and Level 2 classes starting on January 6th!
