Last week we fell in love with DJ Scott once again! Thanks to everyone for coming out! This week, come out to hear DJ Justin spinning the tunes for another great night of dancing! Don't forget band night is October 7th with the Fil Lorenz Orchestra!
Also, if you would like to visit the 9:20 Special Lindy Hop venue in San Francisco this week is the time to do it. This Thursday, everything is FREE: beginning lessons, performances and great social dancing! Introduce Lindy Hop to your friends and co-workers!

1. THIS WEEK: September 30th - 4th Week of Series Classes, Food & Fun!

Level 1 - Get Your 6-count & 8-count Down! - with Gilles & Laura
8:00 - 9:00pm
New to Lindy Hop? Not sure what 6-count & 8-count patterns are? This class is for you! We will cover fundamental 6-count & 8-count moves to get you grooving on the dancing floor right away. Swing out, Lindy Circle, Tuck Turn, Sugar Push, and more will become part of your dancing vocabulary. And we will spice it up with some fun Jazzy moves.
Level 2 - One Step Further! Fundamental Lindy Dynamics - with Gilles & Laura
7:00 - 8:00pm
This series will get you to go a step further with your lindy fundamentals. We will work on partner connection, getting you to know your stretch, and playing with your momentum. You will learn how to make your Lindy more dynamic by slowing down or speeding up your dancing. And because it's Gilles & Laura, expect some Jazz fun to make your partner smile.

2. October Series Classes: Lead & Follow Steal Jam Moves!

Level 1 - Lindy & Tandem Charleston - with Gabe & Andrea
8:00 - 9:00pm
In this class we'll be building on the basic Lindy Hop and adding to it Tandem Charleston. We'll play with fun and interesting ways to string the two together and make even the most complicated of sequences seem easy. Don't worry, this class will provide all of the basics you need to know. No prior dance experience is necessary. Tandem's as easy as riding a bike.
Level 2 - Moves so Great you have to Steal them - with Gabe & Andrea
7:00 - 8:00pm
Learn new and interesting ways to confidently steal into the weekly birthday jams. Instead of waiting for your turn, learn slick ways to take one partner away from the other, regardless if you're a follow or a lead. This class will provide tons of material for both leads and followers. Not only will you learn several fun steal moves, but by the end of the series you will know the ins-and-outs of creating your own on-the-fly. As a follow, you will learn how to 'lead' the current dancing follow out of the dance, while inserting yourself and as a 'lead' you'll learn new ways to take over the dancing follower seamlessly. As a lead, you'll learn how to suprise the follower by taking the other lead's place when she least expects it. Join us for a whole month of partner stealing madness.

More live music will rock WNH on October 7th! Fil Lorenz Orchestra will be with us bringing a grand big band feeling to Wednesday Night Hop. After hearing them rock the house at SFLX, we cannot wait to bring them down here to our little pocket of the bay area!
