What a fantastic time we had last week! We had tons of awesome visitors, great music from DJ Alex F, delicious desserts, and your great energy. Maybe we should start calling it Wednesday Night Hot! Speaking of HOT, we are having our sizzling Jack & Jill contest on June 24th and Le Jazz Hot on July 1st! We're sweating just thinking about it!
We have some AMAZING stuff coming up at Wednesday Night Hop this summer including Jack & Jill contest, SUMMER SWING, some great classes, and opportunities to save some bucks! Please let us know if you ever have any questions or suggestions. You make Wednesday Night Hop the hottest dance party around. We'll see you out on the dance floor!

June Classes

Level 1: Together in Tandem with Trevor and Andrea O.
8:00 - 9:00pm
Tandem Charleston - It's as easy as riding a bike built for two! Besides the lindy basics, Trevor and Andrea will focus on going from side-by-side to tandem position. In addition, you will learn exciting moves like Airplane, Rainbow, and Crossovers that will get your wheels spinning! Remember, Charleston is an integral part of your lindy experience so let us take you on a ride!

Level 2: Fundamentals with Trevor and Andrea O.
7:00 - 8:00pm
Find your niche! What makes your dancing unique? Find out by applying the skills to perfect your technique in balance, spinning, footwork, and musicality. We are going to work hard, but the end-product will help your personal style to shine!

$21 to drop in both Level 1 & 2

2. Jack & Jill Contest - June 24th!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
We are keeping the fun rolling with our Jack & Jill contest next week Dust off those competition shoes and get ready to roll! This is a fun competition for all dancers. Jack & Jill competitions originated over 40 years ago and are designed to showcase a competitor's skills in spontaneous swing dancing and their ability to dance well with a variety of partners to randomly selected music. It is the ultimate fun lead/follow social dance contest that you, yes YOU, can enter!
Competitors enter individually and are randomly assigned to several partners. Partner selection is luck of the draw. During the preliminaries, couples will be judged in heats and will rotate partners as many times as deemed necessary by the judges. During the final, each dancer will be peer judged individually as a leader or a follower. Contest music and the order in which it is played will be selected by the DJ. The winners will receive fabulous prizes including SFLX tix!

Beginning Lindy Hop SUMMER SWING Program!

If you or someone you know is interested in getting a good foundation in Lindy Hop this summer, we are offering great deal! Three months of Beginning Level 1 Lindy Hop for the price of two! Starting July 1st and running through September 30th, this deal also includes two special topic drop-in classes in the months of July and September as well as admission to the dance and any band nights within the months of July, August and September. 4. BAND NIGHT - Le Jazz Hot - July 1st
---------------------------------------------------------------------
They're back! The Jazz Hot (sometimes known as The Hot Club of San Francisco) plays gypsy jazz music inspired by Django Reinhardt. They are dedicated to preserving and educating the masses about Django and his music. On their website, they say that "once you hear it, you can't forget it. It is sophisticated, yet it has a sentimental quality. It is delicate, but the rhythms are played at breakneck speed. It has a swinging, jazzy feel but many of the songs are waltzes." Flamboyant and melancholy, this music has a depth that most will find touches their core. Join us on Wednesday, July 1st for Band Night!
